REIF Uruguay was sponsor of the IX Latam Renewables Congress and III WEC Uruguay Chapter Congress.

On July 26 and 27, the 9th edition of the Latam Renovables congress and the 3rd WEC (World Energy Council) Uruguay chapter took place in the auditorium of the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU), consolidating one of the most important events in the region for leaders and experts in the energy sector.

The meeting, organized by the Uruguayan Association of Renewable Energies (AUDER), brought together government, business and social sector representatives to analyze trends and exchange ideas and strategies to nurture the development of new lines of action aimed at expanding the scope of renewable energies.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou; the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini; the Minister of the Environment, Robert Bouvier; the President of UTE, Silvia Emaldi; the President of ANCAP, Alejandro Stipanicic; the National Director of Energy, Fitzgerald Cantero and more than 45 speakers who contributed varied perspectives to the exchange.

The REIF Uruguay program (Renewable Energy Innovation Fund) participated as a sponsor in this important event. As part of this support, it had an information stand, where interested participants could learn more about the program and even make their queries directly with energy expert, Pablo Caldeiro, and the operations manager, Antonio Martinez, members of the investment committee of the REIF Trust, and representatives of the Fund on this occasion.

Uruguay continues to demonstrate its commitment and innovative drive for a more sustainable future, positioning itself as a benchmark in the incorporation of renewable energies. That is why REIF supports its second energy transition, facilitating actions that lead to the decarbonization of the economy.
