REIF was honored with UNIDO’s Gender Equality Mobilization (GEM) Award in the programmatic category as part of International Women’s Day in Industry.

The award highlights a key design decision: integrating gender equality as a cross-cutting principle to guide the financial instrument, technical assistance, and institutional strengthening efforts carried out by the program to promote sustainable finance and the decarbonization of industry and transportation. 

UN Women provides technical leadership for the integration of this perspective. This recognition also extends to those who conceived this initiative and to those who implement and sustain it on a daily basis, making the results achieved possible.
