The study identifies the economic sectors with the greatest potential for replacing light-duty internal-combustion-engine vehicles with electric vehicles in Uruguay. It analyzes the vehicle fleet, the operational characteristics of different activities, the private and social costs and benefits of the transition, business preferences, and the main barriers to the adoption of this technology, and makes recommendations to promote its adoption.
