The report outlines initial guidelines for designing the economic and financial instrument associated with extended producer responsibility for electric vehicle batteries. It analyzes the Uruguayan market, regulations, national and international experiences, and the perspectives of the stakeholders involved, and proposes criteria for governance, financing, environmental contributions, and environmental modulation that will cover the costs of managing batteries at the end of their useful life.
